I am not yet confirmed into the Catholic faith but steadily following that path. It was explained to me that I would need to nominate a Saint for the purpose of a confirmation name. I am an older man now retired from a life of work as a tradesman. After study and consideration I chose St Joseph because of his life as a worker who used his hands, and his role of fatherhood.

I am learning to pray the Rosary and expect to participate in the RCIA process early next year.

I would say that one of the biggest challenges I have faced was understanding the role of Mary in the faith and making a place for her in my heart and my own faith.
